Laurel Hoberg
Continuing Education Consultant
Laurel Hoberg received her BS from the University of Minnesota and her MBA from Western New England College in Massachusetts. She spent most of her early years working in the medical and biotech fields. In 1999 she moved to Delaware and stumbled into a little company called DENTSPLY.
As they often say in our dental world…once in dentistry, always in dentistry. She spent several years working in continuing education, sales and marketing for DENTSPLY and GC America. She eventually joined Catapult Education where she helped dental educators develop their speaking careers and assisted dental meetings of all sizes, to find educators to WOW their audiences. Her unique background, having seen both the manufacturing side and the educational side of our industry, gives her a broad view of the challenges facing the needs of the dental education community.
Recently, Laurel opened her own company, Rarebirdspeakers.com, helping dental speakers find podium placement within unique meetings throughout the US and Canada.
Diane Vickers
Sponsor & Logistics Consultant
Diane worked at Dentsply Caulk in Milford, DE, for 7 years, starting in the marketing department, then she was promoted to Coordinator of Clinical Education programs. In 2005, she left the corporate world and started her career with the Cape Henlopen School District in Lewes, DE. Diane is currently the Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent.
She joins Rare Bird Speakers as the Sponsor and Logistics Consultant and is happy to be back in the dental industry, doing what she loves most.
Kathy Moore
Website and Social Media Consultant
Kathy retired February 2023 from the Third District Dental Society in New York serving as their as Executive Director for 26 years. During her career she was responsible to plan and organize all the continuing education courses in the seminar series. Her exceptional skills showed at the annual Greater Capital District Dental Symposium. Her goal was to provide a well-organized enjoyable event for all participating from the speakers, sponsors and attendees. This brought her recognition by several internationally know speakers who presented at the events.
Awarded by the American Dental Association as Honorary Membership in the June 2023. The honor is conferred by the Board of Trustees on those individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the advancement of the art and science of dentistry.
She joins Rare Bird Speakers as the Sponsor and Logistics Consultant. Recently retiring from that role, Kathy now is our website and media consultant.
